Talented artists must collaborate more - Exhibit A
Nothing special, just two dudes jamming to their guitars…Those who know me should hear that with my Sarcastic tone.
Let me state the obvious: Ed Sheeran & Mike Rosenberg (Passenger) are very talented singers, songwriters, and musicians. They have outstanding voices. I enjoy this video very much.
Now something less obvious: the two artists are very close friends, who collaborate a lot, even to the extent of touring the US together.

A take away show. It will literally take you away. It is raw talent at its best.
The fact that they’re in the streets of Paris adds to the magique. Can’t help but picture myself walking around and stumbling upon them. Things like this make me want to become a bum and just live in the streets of such a Magical city.

Bruno Mars ala Bruno Mars
The thing with this song is that it gets to a guy just as much as it can get to a girl. Even though the story is told from a guy’s perspective, there’s a very strong nostalgic vibe of a relationship that was once good and a love which obviously is still there even when the guy is not the girl’s man anymore. The details of the situation are purposely left out so that we can fill them in with our own stories. Because we all have One, you do, and I sure do.
“It’s the most honest, real thing I’ve ever sang,” says Bruno on his interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, “when there are no safe bets, that’s when I feel my blood move.” I don’t think we don’t have enough ballads like this in today’s music.

This is pure talent. Tori’s voice is on point, and the beat boxing is unreal. Love the way it sounds and how it looks too. I understand there might be a slight touch of editing for this video to sound so great, but it’s as raw is it gets for the level of talent.

Must watch music video from American singer-songwriter Solange Knowles (recognize the last name? if you don’t please leave this blog).
Stylistically I really like this video for some reason, granted that you might not like it. If you know me, you know that I love colors and this video is all about that. Beautiful colors under a sepia tone filter that makes everything look so vintage, hip and funky. This takes place in Cape Town, South Africa.
Now on to the music, a two-man collaboration of major international producers but this thing together. A ‘pharrel’-isc (similar to that of Pharrell Williams, it’s word I just invented) R&B sound, with a hint of electropop. Sounds good to me.

The Weeknd - The Zone (ft. Drake)
A fogged, mystical production + Drake. That pretty much sums up what The Weeknd is.
They feature slow tempos, rumbling bass, deep echoes, and the Weeknd’s unique falsetto vocals.
It took me a couple listens (maybe more) to actually come to appreciate their style and music - it’s very unique and kinda nuts in a way. Some other good (great!) songs by The Weeknd: Remember You, Birds Pt. 1, & The Morning.
Vampire Weekend - Cousins
This is such a powerful video!
Artistically it’s simple and well though out - just wonderful. It captures the essence of the band and their music, you can really tell why they are so great and why their music is so amazing and unique. And well..the song is just…so hard to put my finger on the right adjective for this masterpiece.
